Do I have to participate in Advent Program and/or Spring Sing?
YES! It is a required part of your grade in Music/Drama class. If an emergency or unavoidable event
should prevent a student's participation in either Spring Sing or Advent Program, the PARENT MUST
NOTIFY MRS. THIELKE IN WRITING (via email or hand-written note) as soon as possible. Mrs. Thielke
may assign extra assignments to make up for this important absence.
What is the student DRESS CODE for the ADVENT PROGRAM?
The dress code for Advent Program is SUNDAY BEST!
GIRLS:
* Dresses or skirts to the knee or longer.
* Fancy dress slacks are acceptable but NO jeans or sweats are allowed!
* Tops must have modest necklines. No spaghetti straps or bare shoulders!
* Midriffs must be covered.
* Shoes must be closed-toed and have a back.
* Socks, hose or tights are MANDATORY.
* No makeup, dangly jewelry, nail polish or outrageous hairstyles.
BOYS:
* Slacks with a belt - no jeans or sweats! Cords or school pants are acceptable.
* Collared shirts or sweaters with no logos. Shirts must be tucked in.
* Dress shoes or your very best casual shoes.
* Neatly combed hair - no outrageous hairstyles.
What is the student DRESS CODE for SPRING SING?
T-Shirts have been ordered for all K-7 students for Spring Sing in a specific color that coincides with
their part in the show. These t-shirts will be sent home a few days prior to the performance. They
should wear their shirt, blue jeans or blue capri jeans (no bermudas/pedal pushers) and
sneakers/school shoes.
The night of Spring Sing, please have all students arrive �IN COSTUME� as follows:
� Their T-shirt
� Long/Capri Blue Jeans
� Sneakers/Tennis Shoes
� A Big Smile!
What is the SEATING for SPRING SING?
We will have chairs set up on the lawn for those who wish to use them. If you want to bring your
own lawn chairs, PLEASE bring only LOW-BACK lawn chairs, out of courtesy to those sitting around
you. Anyone using high-back chairs will be asked to move to the perimeter of the field.Those
requiring high-back chairs may use the ones provided by the school.
8th grade families may bring blankets/low-back lawn chairs and sit in the special roped-off portion
of the lawn in the center front section.
What should my child have for REHEARSAL for SPRING SING?
The Wed. and Thur. before the show are our BIG rehearsal days for Spring Sing! We will be out on
the field for most of the morning, so please send the following with your children:
� A hat and/or sunglasses
� A towel (to sit on)
� Sunscreen
� Water, if desired
