LAB Rules

This page will answer questions that are often asked by students and parents.

(Note: Due to the high cost of Color Printing, the computer lab printer is not available to students for printing of color images that are outside of the current computer
lab assignments. For all non computer assignments, the printer is available based on printer ink availability.)
  1. Be Ready to Work
  2. Be Considerate of Others
  3. Stay Focused on the Task at Hand
  4. 5 min Print Rule
  5. Any student off task will be asked to return to their classroom and detention will be assigned.

Be Ready to Work

Upon entering the lab, go directly to your assigned computer and open a new word processing document
or a previously assigned word processing document. Type the heading: your first and last name, and your
number, then on the next line type the date.
Use this time to start the new project or catch up on a previously assigned project.

Be Considerate of Others

Be courteous and be sure to have a helpful attitude toward your fellow students. We often forget where to
find things in the computer. If you can help someone, please do so. It's not called cheating unless of course
we are in the process of a test. If you can help in a quiet manner, that would help keep the noise level down
in the computer lab.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness.

Stay Focused on the Task at Hand

It is difficult to remain focused when others are talking and being distracting.
That is why we need to keep focused on the assignment.
Refrain from speaking while others are speaking.
