Summer 2009
We continue to look at how we use our Student Learning Expectations
and Discipline with Purpose skills in our daily work at school. I will be continue
posting each week which ones we will be using that correlate with the weekly
homework/class work. Each week the students assess themselves using a Student
Learning Expectation/ Discipline With Purpose rubric.

GOAL & OBJECTIVES:Students continue reflecting and on the 15 life tools for self-discipline and the Student Learning Expectations.
DISCIPLINE WITH PURPOSE SKILLS
A. BASIC SKILLS: Listening, Following directions, Asking questions, Sharing: time,
space, people, & things and Social skills
B. CONSTRUCTIVE SKILLS: Cooperating with others, Understanding the reason for rules, Completing a task, Leadership & Communicating effectively
C. GENERATIVE SKILLS: Organizing: time, space, people & things, Resolving mutual problems,
Taking the initiative in problem solving, Distinguishing fact from feeling & Sacrificing/serving others
We continue to ask you to help us in reinforcing these life tools, the three basic school rules and the 3 Ms of self-discipline (MONITOR, MANAGE & MODIFY) in order to promote a WIN/WIN experience in the classroom and at home.
Our THREE SCHOOL RULES are as follows:

2. Contribute to the learning environment
3. Follow classroom procedures and rules
