The purpose of homework is to reinforce what is taught in class and to
foster habits of independent study. Students should expect about 60-90
minutes of homework each night. Home work includes reading, poetry
construction and daily assignments.Please find a quiet place for homework.
Try to schedule homework at the same time each day. Remember
organization and time management are homework goals.
We are also beginning to look at how we use our Student Learning Expectations
and Discipline with Purpose skills in our daily work at school. I will be
posting each week which ones we will be using that correlate with the weekly
homework/class work. Each week the students assess themselves using a Student
Learning Expectation/ Discipline With Purpose rubric.
