How can my student raise their grade?

It is extremely important that students maintain their grades.
Often
students wait until two weeks before final grades to try to
improve a low
grade, and this is highly unlikely. Student grades are posted
WEEKLY in
class! Throughout the trimester I offer extension activities for
extra
credit, but the final two weeks of the trimester this is no
longer
available.

Can assignments be made up?

Daily homework assignments CANNOT be made up. Large projects
will be
accepted two weeks late, but they will drop one grade each day.

Why does my student have so many projects?

I have a strong philosophy in teaching history: students should
get "into"
the history in order to truly understand how and why it
happened. I am VERY
graceful in providing ample time for students to work. Often
projects are
difficult if a student does not use class time wisely. Overall,
projects
and written assignments reinforce language arts skills and the
history
simultaneously.
