About The Teacher

I am excited for the start of my seventeenth year of teaching Language Arts &
Social Studies at Summit Intermediate School! Teaching has always
been my dream job and after some time I discovered that I enjoyed teaching
middle school the most! I currently live locally with my husband Ryan, our
two boys Jake (11) and Braeden (8), our dog Mocha Bella, and our cat Romeo.
I hold a Liberal Studies degree from Cal State San Bernardino and Master's
Degree in Education from the University of La Verne. Professionally I
have also been a literature book trainer & textbook pilot teacher, grade
level chair, Safe School Ambassador coach, Battle of the Books coordinator,
and Pep Squad coordinator. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, reading, playing
video games with my boys, and relaxing by a pool or a beach.

I look forward to the coming school year and to meeting each and every
student. The 6th grade year is an important one with many new experiences
and I am excited to spend this wonderful year with you!

Mission For The Class

Throughout the course of the 2017-2018 school year students in my class will
be pushed to excel in P.R.I.D.E.: Personal Responsibility in Developing
Excellence and to be the best SHARKS that they can be! They will also be
asked to complete work to the best of their ability in an effort to prepare
them for the remainder of middle school and their futures. Students in my
class will be urged to always give their best effort, to laugh at the little
things in life, and to pursue all of their dreams now and in the future.
