About The Teacher

I graduated from San Dimas High School in 1987. I received my B.A. from Cal
Poly Pomona in 1992. I earned my teaching credential and Master's Degree in
Education from the University of LaVerne in 1993.

This is my 23rd year at Summit. I have taught all core subjects in
eighth grade.

I was married to my wonderful husband, Robert, in July of 1992. We have
three daughters, Kylie (20), Abbie (17), Camryn (12) and a son
Jaeden (14). We have a Border Terrier named Katy Perry, a black lab named
Burton Guster, a Husky/Malamute named Kenai, a lilac point Siamese, Maks, and
a calico named Bree! In my spare time (as if there is any with four
children!) I enjoy going to Disneyland, rooting for my Lakers, being a
contestant on game shows and going to see some of my favorite shows being
filmed! I also co-own Velocity Elite Cheer, am co-advisor for Etiwanda High
School Cheer and spend much of my time following my own children from
activity-to-activity (Volleyball, Cheer, Football and Baseball!).

Mission For The Class

My mission for this class is to teach my students responsibility,
independence, and prepare them for the transition into high school. I want
them to learn as much as they can while in my class, both academic and life
skills, while they enjoy their last year at Summit.
