Why do we do Math in Science class?

Math is the scientist's most important tool.

Physics and Chemistry require excellent math skills, including graphing. You
can not avoid doing math in 8th Grade Science.

Every single 8th Grade Science student in California should be using algebra in her / his Science
class.

The skills you learned in 6th & 7th grade math will be used in Science. If
you have forgotten concepts, I suggest you spend some time reviewing.

Basically, Math is important because of Science. But don't tell Ms. Walsh!

What is the policy for late work?

You are allowed only 3 Late Homework Passes per semester. This only applies
to assignments for which the answers have not been corrected in class.

This is fair to the hardworking students that take responsibility for
completing their homework.

No work will be accepted the week before final grades are due.
