A native Californian, Ami Garvin earned her Bachelor of Music degree from
Chapman University in Orange. After spending four years in San Diego at Bonita
Vista Middle School, she relocated to the Los Angeles area. Mrs. Garvin is
now enjoying her 8th year at Suzanne Middle School in Walnut.

The mission of the Suzanne Middle School Instrumental Music program is to
foster an intrinsic desire in young students for good quality music
performance and education in conjunction with the State and National
standards for Visual & Performing Arts and to create for the students at
Suzanne Middle School a positive atmosphere that fosters both creativity and
musical excellence. Our ultimate goal should be that students exit their
middle school experience with a greater appreciation of music and art, a
desire to continue participation in music, and the ability to respond to and
interact with a changing world.
