Check in with me before or after class, not during class.

What can I do to raise my grade?

Do your work in class and turn in your homework on time.  Study for the 
tests. For the majority of my students, just doing these things would raise 
their grade significantly.  
If you have already done these things and are unhappy with the grade you 
have earned, then please come talk to me and we will look at things you can 
do to improve your grade.
