Our state report rubric and directions went home on Friday in our folders. In order to select a state, the parent signature page needs to be turned in. Students began selections today. Keep in mind that the float is only done at home. It is our last big project.
State testing is coming soon as well. We are allowing our kiddos to bring in their own headphones/earbuds to use during testing. They can be stored in a locked cabinet or brought back and forth.
Walk Through the Revolution speaking parts will be sent home before Spring Break so the kiddos can begin memorizing. The assembly is scheduled for April 28th in the morning. Please feel free to join us, but due to limited space, we are unable to accommodate siblings. Two guests per student please. Scripts and speaking parts will be found on our 5th grade website, just in case the original is lost.
I am beginning to take donations for our end of the year auction. I would like to hold an auction so the students can spend some of their classroom currency. I am looking for gift cards, games, toys, books, art supplies, treats...whatever you think they would like. Just send in your donation with your student and as always, they will earn more $$.
We are also in need of glue sticks and Dixon Ticonderoga pencils and glue sticks. If anyone is able to donate, their child will be rewarded with classroom currency and I will be super grateful!
Another Scholastic Book order packet will be going home on Friday before Spring Break. It will be due Wednesday, April 12th. There are lots of great titles and it would be a great opportunity to stock up on Summer reading options for your student.
Have a safe Spring Break! Looking forward to hearing all about the adventures and memories the kids will have!
