CST Testing:
Thank you to all the families that provided delicious, healthy snacks last week! The students really
enjoyed having extra snacks last week. Thank you, also, for taking care to have your child rested and
prepared to take the tests!
ELA:
Most of our Book Club groups are more than half way through the novel, Esperanza Rising. They
have been working well with their groups to discuss and encourage participation from each member
of their group. We have been having insightful conversations around the themes and issues brought
up by this novel.
Science Fair Project:
Your child has received information regarding this year's Science Fair Project. All 4th graders are
required to complete a science fair project, either individually or with a small group (any student K-
5). Projects are due on Wednesday, May 15th. Projects submitted after that will not be considered
for the OUSD Science Fair. Students may start bringing in their completed projects.
New Birthday Treat Day:
Due to the large number of June and Summer Birthdays, I added one more Birthday Treat Day. It will
be on Friday, June 7th. Please sign up using the Sign Up Genius link on the left.
