6th Grade Daily Science

WELCOME TO 6TH GRADE EARTH SCIENCE

________________________________________________________________
Spiral Rules - Bring glue every day!
1) Always color pictures and decorations on left side.
2) Always write using complete sentences.
3) Class notes are written on the right, homework activity is on the left.
4) Be precise and put items on the correct page number as indicated in class and on website.
5) Glue pages so edges are neatly in line within the spiral page.
6) List each item in the Table of Contents at the front of your spiral.

Spiral notebooks are graded periodically using the rubric described on Table of Contents.

Instructions for "CORNELL NOTES"
on right side of spiral:
on right side of page, list at least 10 bullet points from the video - 
on the left side of the page, write at least 5 questions that are answered by your bullet point notes (like jeopardy)

on the left side of spiral:
Draw, label and color a diagram that depicts what you learned in the video
Write 8 sentence paragraph, using step up to writing techniques to summarize.  
                     Be sure to color code paragraph (GYRYRYRG) and add a meaningful title.

Welcome back to school!!!  Assembly today!
cw (classwork)- Pass out Expectations hand out, fill out index cards         
hw (homework) - print any page or line from my website as proof and turn in on Weds for grade- 
                   bookmark Ms D's website to "favorites"
                   review class expectations hand out with parent and return signed form Weds for grade
                    Bring 2 spiral notebooks on Thursday - 
pockets and plastic cover  with at least 100 pages 
                                 sign up on AERIES so you can track your grades!!!! 
PER 1 only - BRING 2 FORMS FROM CLASS AND 5 FORMS SENT BY DISTRICT TO YOUR HOME - due Fri

 bring 2 spirals 8 1/2" by 11" on Thursday for setting up both in class - for grade
