Dec. 2: Write sentences for the synonyms on the back of worksheet #2 and learn
the synonym pairs for a test.
Dec. 1: Write sentences for the synonyms on the front of worksheet #2 and
learn the synonym pairs for a test.
Nov. 30: Complete side 1 and 2 of the worksheet on Synonyms. Write a sentence
for each of these synonyms. Study for a test on these synonyms.
Nov. 25: Look at Chapter 12 and write a 1st person POV as both Victor and the
Creature. Each of your responses should be 12 sentences and should contain
specific examples from the chapter to support/defend your thoughts and
actions. Remember to use words that support the emotions of each character
during the timeframe of Chapter 12.
Nov. 24: Re-read Ch. 10 and write bullets of the key events. Again take the
three most imporant events and write a Power Paragraph using these events as
Concrete Details in your 11-sentence paragraph.
Nov. 23: Re-read Ch. 9 in your Frankenstein book and write bullets of
the key events. Take the three most important events and write a Power
Paragraph using these events as Concrete Details in your 11-sentence paragraph.
Nov. 18: Write your final copy of your three paragraphs. Be sure to follow the
Body Paragraph format! Save each of your drafts!
Nov. 17: Edit, rewrite, and improve the three Power Paragraphs about school,
food, and friends. Make sure that each paragraph is at least 8 sentences and
that you follow the Power Paragraph format! : )
Nov. 16: Write one Power Paragraph for each of the following prompts: How are
American schools, food, and students/friends different than those found in
your home country?
Nov. 13: Write a Power Paragraph for the following prompt: Discuss three ways
that your life has changed in a colorful way since coming to America.
