While there is no "extra credit" to raise your grade, you can improve your grade by correctly redoing the problems you missed on any test (be sure to show all your work,) and resubmitting it. No credit will be given to corrected tests that do not show how the problems were redone. Quizzes: Quizzes will be given several times through out each quarter. Some will be announced and some will not. Often the quizzes will be made up of homework problems. So, if you do your homework and understand the problems, these will be some easy points :o) Exams: Exams will be given about every 2 weeks and will focus on the material in the section of the book in which we are working. Notes: Notes are to be taken on new material. At the beginning of each new section of notes, write the date and the lesson that is covered. Things to think about: All quizzes and exams will be completed without books or notes. Do not fall behind. Pre-read the lessons, take notes during class, study examples and try every problem. When you do not understand a problem, get help. Behavior that hinders the learning process (i.e. talking, disruptive, or not participating) will affect on your grade.
