Mind Expander information will come home with your child in the first week of October. You will receive a letter explaining the program, and a packet of activities. If you choose to participate, I will also send home a journal in which your child will record their Mind Expander activities in. This packet is an optional activity meant to offer an alternative to television. It is something that your child may work on all during the year until the month of May. At that time, we will ask that those who participated turn in their tallied packets. All participants will be invited to attend a Mind Expanders party where we will share some of our best experiences with the program. There will be awards and refreshments as well. This is an entirely optional program meant to excite your child with the unusual and to encourage him/her to "expand" his/her horizons. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!~
