Hello! I'm Mrs. Balanon! Welcome to our class website! I hope you find the
information on this site to be useful and fun! I am happy to be teaching a
wonderful group of 4th graders this year. I have been teaching for over 15
years and watching children grow and learn is my passion.
When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family which includes
my son and husband. We love going to Balboa Park, The San Diego Zoo,
Legoland, and the beach. I love to read, take photographs, paint with
watercolors, watch funny movies, swim, and eat pizza! My favorite
children's book is "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss. Right now I am reading
a beautiful book called "Esperanza Rising" by Pam Munoz Ryan. My favorite
poet is Robert Frost and my favorite artist is Henri Matisse.

My mission for my students is that all students must focus on doing their
personal best. I ask students to work hard, put forth their best effort and
be proud of their work. Keeping this mission as our focus will help in
their learning and help each student meet with academic success!
