Hello Everyone:
I hope that everyone had a restful winter break. This month’s project
uploaded on this web site. Students will be picking out the books for this
project this morning.
Starting January 15th we will be having art lessons with Janice Purnell. She
will be coming into the classroom on Fridays from 9 – 10 to give group
drawing lessons.
In math we are starting with the basics of Algebra. For this week we will be
learning about balancing equations and using variables and constants.
In language arts we are starting our poetry unit. This unit will culminate
with our Poetry Café on February 19th. From 8:30 – 10:00 students will be
reciting their poetry while parents serve them breakfast treats. More about
this wonderful event in the next few weeks.
In social studies, an in-depth look at the three colonial regions is what we
are going to be studying. Students will learn how to take notes and compile a
PowerPoint on one of the original colonies.
I will be sending out progress reports out on the 19th of January.
I would like to that everyone for the wonderful Downtown Davis card! What a
surprise and a very thoughtful gift. I was able to entertain guests at Bistro
33 and still have a lot left over for some more shopping. Thank you very much.
