Homework Policy

Homework has a definite place in the educational process. It is an
extension of the learning experiences students have during the instructional
day. It is meant to be work that they can do independently, although your
help and guidance are appreciated and can aid to ensure that your child gets
the most out of it.

I consider homework to be an exercise in time management and
responsibility. I expect middle school students to be responsible for their
own homework.

Homework from my class should not exceed 30 minutes each day, Monday
through Thursday. Students will receive credit for their homework if it
appears to be their best effort and is turned in on time. I will certainly
accept homework that is late, but I do expect it to be on time. There will
be a penalty involved in late work.

You can always contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
