Hello everyone and welcome back to school! I hope all of you had a terrific
summer. My husband and I were able to complete our kitchen remodeling
project and then spend a week on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina with our
children and grandchildren -- love that warm Atlantic water! We also enjoyed
a few days to ourselves in Charleston. As fun and relaxing as summer
vacation can be, I always look forward to my return to VMS. I look forward
to getting to know each of you.
A brief background on me: I am a graduate of Cal Poly and Chapman University
with a B.S. in Business Administration and a M.A. in Education; Curriculum
and Instruction. I have a single subject credential in Business and a
supplemental credential in Mathematics. I've been teaching for nearly 20
years. This is my tenth year at VMS.
I am married with four children -- Joshua, Melissa, Jason and Alisa. I am
also blessed with three grandchildren: Zachary, Sofia, and Anna Katherine.
I mustn't forget that I also have a rambunctious Border Collie named Roxy.
Roxy is one awesome soccer player, believe it or not.
In my spare time (when I am not grading papers!) I enjoy spending time
with my family, traveling, hiking, bicycling, reading, and cooking, cooking,
cooking. My husband says he is very spoiled!
Finally, let me just end with this: I love kids, love teaching, love Math --
and I love it in exactly that order. It's truly a privilege to have you in
my class. I know it's going to be a great year!
