What is the final grade based upon?

  Active participation and effort are extemely important in order to learn a 
foreign language and will be rewarded (10%).  Active participation includes 
impromptu activities, listening activities, raising hand to answer 
questions, etc...)    
  90% of the grade is based heavily on chapter exams, various projects 
(written and oral), and announced quizzes (90%).  
  All grades can be viewed on Zangle gradebook except "active participation" 
and "homework" so your grade on zangle might not be your grade on your 
report card.

What about homework?

  Homework is very important.  Students doing their homework 70% of the 
time will have their grade increased by a letter grade ( A becomes and A+, 
etc...)

What if you are absent ?

  Please, go to the homework folder and make up the homework of the day.
If there is no homework listed check with me.  
  If we had a presentation or chapter exam make arrangements with me to make 
it up ASAP
