Welcome! I am very excited to be sharing the fourth grade year with you and
your child. Helping children succeed is my number one priority. I've been
teaching for over 22 years in Ocean View School District and have taught
grades 1-6. My favorite grade level is fourth because the children are eager
to learn, and they also have an opportunity to explore our rich California
history. I look forward to getting to know each of you better and to helping
your child succeed through a strong home-to-school partnership. Student
success truly takes a Village!
It is my goal to facilitate academically enriching, creative, and fun hands-
on learning opportunities for the students that address the state standards
and moves them beyond. The students will build stronger skills across the
curriculum with special emphasis in the area of mathematics, literacy and
higher level thinking skills. They will also explore scholarly attributes
and delve into the depth and complexity of each curricular area. A shared
sense of respect, compassion, and trust will also be key characteristics in
our classroom.
