responsibility, and Christian Character.

Coach Brian Walkwitz -

Coach "Walk" comes back to coach in his seventh season here at Vineyard.
Last year, his volleyball and softball teams made it to the championships.
That made 4 straight for the softball team. In addition to coaching and
teaching PE here, He is also a Pastor currently on staff at Orange Hills
Assembly in Orange serving as the Youth/Worship Minister. He also started his
own service on Sundays at 9 AM called Amplify.

Before coming to VCS, Coach Walk's experience includes being a Coach,
Teacher, and Principal in Christian Schools for over 10 years. He plans on
using his experience and passion for teenagers and Sports to invest in the
Girl's Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball programs here at VCS.

He has two goals for this season. First, he would like to help each
girl grow and mature spiritually. This will be achieved through
encouragement, prayer, and example. Second, he wants to help prepare the
girls for high school athletics. He will be working with each of the girls
in developing their skill levels and teaching them the fundamentals of their
sport.

Coach Furey and Coach Walk will both place a high emphasis on teamwork and
unity.

Cheer Coach Amanda Wuebben~

Amanda recently graduated from Westmont college in Santa Barbara with a B.A.
in Theater and Art. She grew up in southern Orange County and attended
Corona del Mar High School where she cheered all four years. She was elected
captain each year during her freshmen, sophmore, and junior year and coached
the freshmen cheer squad during her senior year. That freshmen squad won a
competition for a dance in their division! She believes cheer is a sport and
is excited to share all that she has learned.

Amanda also has several years of dance/performing experience in jazz, hip-
hop, and modern. Through cheer, dance, and theater she discovered her
excitement and talent for movement!

Vineyard Athletics Program

The goal of participating in afterschool Athletics at Vineyard is that we
believe that preparing an athlete goes far beyond the field or court. In
keeping with our Christian World View approach of preparing the next
generation of Student Athletes for Life, Ministry and Mission, our desire is
to equip and train our boys and girls in the skills and knowledge of
athletics as well as preparing them for life after sports. We will focus on
three areas of personal development – specific athletics education, personal
responsibility, and Christian Character.
