I will be pleased to write you a letter of recommendation. However, there are several very important procedures I need you to follow:

• Allow me at least three weeks to complete your letter. A good letter takes time to write and edit. Many requests come in at the same time and have similar deadlines.

• Create a word document answering the questions below so that I have specific information from which to build a letter. You may attach your resume or brag sheet if you have one.

• Clearly state whom the letter(s) should be sent to and what the deadline is (are).

• Attach all forms from the college, so that I have one complete package for each college. It is o.k. to turn in other college forms separately, as long as they are in a complete package.

• Include a stamped addressed envelope for each request. Manila 9 x 12 envelopes with three stamps work best. Do not put your return address on the envelopes; we will put a VHS stamped return address in this spot

• Order a transcript for each college from our records department. Have her forward the transcript directly to me so I can include it in your package.
