Message from the Principal
As the principal of Vista View Middle School I want to personally welcome you. The staff at Vista View is committed to the success of each student. We believe that all students can achieve. We understand the importance of knowing each student by name and need, and the critical role that parents play in student success. We look forward to working with our families and the Vista View community to ensure that all our students continue to achieve.
As we look forward to the 2008-2009 school year, we hope to continue to build upon the many successes of the previous year. Once again, Vista View has been named a model CalSTAT Leadership site due to the success of our Response to Intervention program. As part of this recognition, Vista View will continue to host schools from across the state of California to share our successes in the area of student literacy.
On behalf of the Vista View staff, I would like to wish our students and families a relaxing and fun-filled summer. We look forward to working with you in the 2008-2009 school year. Together, we can continue to provide an outstanding learning environment and meet the needs of all students. I look forward to another successful year!

Three Veteran Teachers Retire
We wish the best to our three retiring educators. Steve Winders ended his illustrious career as our Assistant Principal. Nancy LaRuffa has brought entertainment to generations of students as our Performing Arts teacher. Janice Coleman allowed the hearing impaired to participate in the hearing world around them.

The Vista View Middle School community was better for having known Mr. Winders, Mrs. LaRuffa and Mrs. Coleman. They are appreciated for all they brought to our school, but they will be sorely missed.

|
Many happy, healthy and joyful years to our retiring educators. Fly High With Falcon Pride.
