About The Teacher

     The 2008-2009 school year will be my 19th year teaching.  I have been 
teaching here in San Clemente for the past 13 years.  I have been teaching 
at Vista del Mar since it opened in 2003.  It is exciting watching a new 
school grow and develop.
     I earned my Masters Degree in education with an emphasis in 
reading from Cal State Fullerton.  I truly enjoy teaching all subjects, with 
my favorites being reading and writing.  History is also up there 
with my favorites... okay, okay, I like science and math too!  I love 
teaching!! I have taught grades 3-6 in the past 18 years.  

     I live here in San Clemente with my husband, Dennis and our two 
children, Kevin and Kelsey.  (Kevin is attending college in Flagstaff at 
Northern Arizona University.)
 We love to go camping and be outdoors.  Our lives revolve around our kids' 
activities.  Kelsey plays soccer, and is a freshman at SCHS.
I love to read and enjoy a good book on a warm afternoon at the pool!!  I 
hope to instill that love of reading in my students! 
I am looking forward to a great year at Vista del Mar this year.  This will
certainly be the best 4th & 5th grade class!!  They're awesome!!  (Just ask 
them.)
