My name is Carmen Dones. I am a native Californian and I live in the San
Fernando Valley. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist and Registered Dental
Assistant. I have worked in the dental field for over 20 years. I have been
teaching at West Los Angeles College for the last 4 1/2 years. Courses I have
taught include Oral Pathology, Dental Radiology, Dental Materials and
Expanded Functions, Law and Ethics,Anethesia lab and lecture, Special needs
as well as Intro to Perio.
My experience in online learning include certificates from University
Detroit Mercy: Teaching Principles for Healthcare Professionals; Foothill
College: ETUDES Next Generation Training Workshop, CSUEB Masters in
Education: Online Teaching and Learning. Online courses I've
taught include Allied Health 12: Healthcare Professions.

As a dental hygienist, understanding the study of periodontics is
imperative. Step by step, we will review all aspects of the periodontuim
through lecture, research, quizzes and discussion. At anytime if you feel
