My name is Mrs. Grace and I enjoy reading, traveling, and movie night with my
husband. My credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State
University, Educational Specialist Credential in Mild to Moderate from Cal Poly Pomona, a Masters
Degree in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from Cal Poly Pomona, and a
New York State Teaching License. This will be my fifth year of teaching and my second year at West
Heritage Elementary.
Through my experiences in education, I have recognized that each student is
different and I am willing to teach each student their strengths and weaknesses. My greatest
capability is facilitating all styles of learners. I develop a variety of lesson plans that is rich in
content and challenging to students from all learning levels. I incorporate technology, learning
centers, cooperative group work, and thematic units to teach new concepts. Furthermore, I make
certain each students receives individualized praise and encouragement ensuring that he/she
remains enthusiastic, motivated and does not become frustrated or quit. For myself, teaching
provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth.
One of my hopes as an effective teacher is to instill a love of learning in my students, a lifelong curiosity
and a sense of personal achievement because my teachers instilled them in me.
