My homework philosophy: Each night your child will need to read for at least
20 minutes. While reading, your child will be using their comprehension
strategies, word-attack skills, will be improving fluency, and hopefully
getting enjoyment and entertainment from reading! Each student is required
to take AR tests as part of their comprehension grade. See AR page for more
details on this. Additionally, your child will be getting math, spelling,
vocabulary, writing, social studies, and science homework as needed. Advance
notice is always given for large projects. I don't expect your child to be
spending more than a manageable amount of time on homework each night. I'd
rather they have a balance between work and play, school and homelife.
YOUR CHILD'S BINDER REMINDER IS ALWAYS THE BEST PLACE TO LOOK FOR HOMEWORK. THIS PAGE SHOULD BE USED AS A BACK-UP TO THE BINDER REMINDER.
