Welcome to West!!

Located in Fontana, West Heritage Elementary is known for its great staff and for the high quality education it delivers. The teachers at West Heritage give students not only the experience with the skills that will take them on to higher education, but also with the skills useful in their everyday lives.

Students at West can also take advantage of many opportunities the school offers beyond the basic curriculum. Among these is an incredible music and fine arts program. The schools in our area are among the top public schools for music education in California.

The staff encourages the community to get involved and stay involved in the education of its children. As teachers, we teach our students according to their needs, and set strong examples through character education. Our experience shows that through open communication between school and family, a child grows and becomes a productive citizen of the community. The learning, however, always starts at home.

West Heritage Families,

We are at the mid point of the 3rd trimester and progress reports are being sent home with students this afternoon for students in grades 1st – 5th. Please remind your children the importance of getting their assignments completed and turned in on-time so their grades will reflect in at the end of the school year. All of our 3rd – 5th grade students are taking the SBAC Assessment on the computer. This assessment is new to the state of California and our students have learned much as they have navigated through the assessment for the first time. Our 5th grades students will complete the assessment the week of April 14th-18th.

Keep up the great work and let’s make sure all of our students are at school on-time and ready for instruction. Let’s see how many of our students can have perfect attendance for the last six weeks of School!!

A congratulations to our band students for a job well done at the middle
school on April 10, 2014 where they performed three songs! You all played well and did a great job.I would also like to congratulate our Battle of The Book participants and our Student of The Month recipients!!

Great job!
