Mom and Dad’s Homework
Hug ‘em and scrub ‘em
And feed ‘em good stuff
Hear ‘em and cheer ‘em
And don’t be too rough
Squeeze ‘em and tease ‘em
And share work and play
Whisper “I love you”
In each ear each day!
Each Wednesday you child will bring home “My Kindergarten Journal”. There 
will be a calendar of monthly activities, activity sheets, and read aloud 
form. Turn in your empty envelope the next day, Thursday. 
The basic schedule for homework is:
	Wednesday: Calendar activity, small books and sight words
	Thursday: Calendar activity, printing practice
	Friday: Calendar activity, read aloud
	Monday: Kindergarten Journal
	Tuesday: Every Day Math Home Links
The journal should be turned in the following Wednesday with any completed 
homework assignments. A new monthly calendar will be inserted the 1st 
Wednesday of each month. 
Complete read aloud forms will earn a Book It coupon good for a free Pizza 
Hut personal pizza and other special incentives. This will go from October to 
March. 
The Everyday Math Home Links book is also being sent home. Please keep this 
in a safe place and do the activities as assigned in the Kindergarten News 
Letter.
