At this point in the year kids need to be working toward mastering their basic multiplication tables 0-12. By the end of 3rd grade it is our goal that each student has these facts mastered. While we will be working on this in the classroom, it is also crucial that each student practice at home as well.The website, www.aplusmath.com offers flashcards for practice. Please try to have your child spend 5-10 minutes each day practicing the basic facts until they are automatic. When students are learning facts they may use repeated addition, and then they will graduate to using other strategies. However, automaticity is the goal!
