Course Descriptions
Math 7
Seventh grade mathematics is a course designed to help students learn
concepts skills, and reasoning strategies in the Mathematics Content
Standards for grade seven. This class is a year long course, which will help
students prepare for later courses in Algebra, Geometry and other rigorous
college preparatory classes in mathematics. Real world emphasis, interactive
strategies, and techniques make this course meaningful for today’s middle
school student.
Introduction to Algebra
This course is an entrance-level class designed for students beginning the
study of high school mathematics. It will focus on mathematical skills
necessary for success in Algebra I. This course will solidify a basic math
background and serve as a springboard into the regular Algebra I course the
following year. This course covers algebraic concepts including: fractions,
decimals, and working with variables so that students can be prepared for
future courses.
