I was born in St Joseph' Hospital in Orange and grew up in the city of Santa
Ana, California. At the age of 10 I moved to the beautiful city of Orange. I
developed a passion for Athletics at an early age. This desire to compete
would take me to Orange Lutheran where I competed in Football, Basketball,
Baseball, and Track
After Graduation from high school, I headed off to college. Concordia
University in Irvine would be the next stop in preperation for teaching.
There I majored in History and had minors in P.E. and Communications. God
blessed me with opportunity to compete in basketball and baseball
during my time in college. I would graduate with a California Professional
Clear teaching credential, a Lutheran Teaching Certificate, and a Masters in
Educational Administration.
My first teaching position would take me to the city of Anaheim Hills,
California. Hephatha Lutheran provided me with wonderful fifth grade students
to inspire. There I was Athletic Director, Boys and Girls coach, and 5th
grade teacher. I would remain at the school for 11 wonderful years. While
there I met my beautiful wife Karen who had come west from the wide open
state of Nebraska to teach at Christ Lutheran in Costa Mesa. We have three
beautiful Children-Kaitlyn 15, Courtney 13, and Tyler 9.
In the year 2000 Karen and I were called to teach at St. Paul's of Orange
where I taught 5th grade and became the Athletic Director. Karen was called
to teach 2nd grade where she is still teaching today. After 4 years I
left Lutheran schools to teach 5th grade at Friends Christian in Yorba
Linda. After a wonderful experience there, the Lord called me to Zion
Lutheran school to teach 8th grade and become the Vice Principal as well as
the boys athletic director. This is my 5th year at Zion and my 20th year
teaching.
In my spare time I enjoy coaching girl's basketball at Orange Lutheran,
where I have been coaching the last 20 years, coaching my own children,
and best of all hanging out in LAKE TAHOE skiing or simply relaxing. I also
love reading any book that is related to U.S. History or Bulgarian
Literature. I have really been blessed in the ministry by all the parents
and students that have touched my life.
MY MISSION:
That ALL students will experience God's love and forgiveness, and learn to
show that same forgiveness and love to others
MY EDUCATIONAL GOALS:
That each student will learn to take pride in their work, work cooperatively
with others, do the best they can, believe in oneself, and enjoy learning.
