The 2009-2010 school year is about ready to begin. It is always exciting as we look forward to seeing
our returning families once again, but equally exciting as we welcome new students, and new families.
Mrs. Drevlow is busy getting the computer lab ready for the students in Kindergarten through fourth
grades.
The K-4 computer lab is located near the Music Room and to the west of the Zion Library. The lab is
equipped with Apple iMacs, and portable technology such as iPods, QuickPADs and Tungsten E2 Palm
Pilots. We have also been purchasing some NEO2 laptops for the teachers. These are perfect for giving
Accelerated Reader tests to the students. The NEO2 is a wireless laptop that can send test results to the
Renaissance Place server. We are amazed at how easy it is to use.
We look forward to the possibility of getting some more iMacs in the lab before the end of the school
year. If you have any Macintosh iMac or eMac computers that you would like to donate, please notify
Mrs. Drevlow at (714) 535-3600 x110. We also accept donations to purchase more NEO2's for the
classrooms. Thank you.
