December 14-18, 2009 BIBLE STORY: “CHRISTMAS JOY!” The Savior is here! He came at Christmas because of God’s great love. He is in our hearts, leading us to live in faith as children of God. MEMORY: No memory this week. PHONICS: We continue to learn about our new letter and sound, “T,t” (tiger, turtle, tomatoes). Please continue to review letters, sounds, and word lists over the vacation since we will be assessing your child’s progress again in January. MATH: Identifying an object that does not belong in a group; paying for items to 10 using pennies. UNIT STUDY/CHRISTMAS AROUND the WORLD: Santa; Polar Express Day; Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. On Friday we will be celebrating Jesus’ birthday. ***Christmas vacation begins Dec. 19th and school resumes Jan. 4th.
