We're leaving on Monday. Here are some last minute reminders for you.
1) Please report to the multi purpose room between 8:45 to 9:00 am
2) If you have medicine to turn in, please see Ms. Yee or Mrs. King. They will be on the stage.
3) Label electronics and bring a ziplock plastic bag to put it in.
4) Your child may bring $10-15 for the gift shop.
5) Bring a sack lunch with you and carry it on to the bus. Do not pack it in your luggage.
6) Bring a water bottle.
7) You may write to your parents. Or, parents may write to their child (be sure to include name)

Monday, October 26
We arrived safely and quickly. All of the buses made it to Mission Springs by noon. We ate lunch, met our naturalists and parent chaperones, and checked in to our cabins. The students had fun hiking to the top of the mountain for campfire and enjoyed the skits the naturalists put on. Everything went smoothly in the evening. A couple of students had a difficult time going to sleep (being in a new environment) but I have a feeling they will be so tired tonight they will have no problem falling asleep.
Tuesday, October 27
I'll give you an update later on. This morning, one of the students said, "I wish we could have school here!" I asked him why he said that, thinking it was the fresh mountain air, large redwoods, or lack of distractions from daily life in the suburbs. His response - "I like being served this food!"
After breakfast, the students went with their naturalist and chaperones to do various activities and educational lessons. The weather is nice but is forecasted to be windy tonight. The class with do their much anticipated "night hike" tonight.
Wednesday, October 28
The class had a great day yesterday. They finished up their educational workshops or activities, had recreation time, dinner and took their night hike. They settled down quickly last night and all of the cabins were quiet by 10:15.
Today is nice, although it's a little windy. I checked the weather forecast and we should have nice weather for Thursday and Friday.
