 IMPORTANT DATES 

·        May 21-25. Carnival T-Shirt Days 

·        Tuesday-Book Fair at 10:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall 

·        May 28th, Monday- NO SCHOOL Memorial Day Observance 

·        May 30th, Wednesday- Free Dress 

·        June 7th, Field Day- Wear a RED t-shirt and your P.E. bottoms. You will be outside for most of the day, so you may want to wear a cap and have on sunscreen. 

·        June 1st, Friday- 11:45 Dismissal for carnival set-up 

·        June 2nd, Saturday Spring Carnival 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. 

·        June 8th, Thursday: Fifth Grade Banquet at 11:30. Please send your R.S.V.P if you have not already done so. 

·        June 14th, Thursday: Fifth Grade Picnic at Del Rey Lagoon in Playa del Rey 

·        Last Day of School: June 15th

Offering update: We are so close, but still haven’t reached our goal for our sponsored child. 
Let us try to reach our goal!!! We only have 4 Fridays left.

THIS WEEK IN CLASS 

Religion: Lesson 26 -Queen Esther. As always Open Book quiz on Friday.

Reading:Where the Red Fern Growsby Wilson Rawls, Chapters 6-10 Test on Tuesday. Then we will continue reading chapters 11-13. 
Fourth Quarter Book Shares are due on Thursday, June 4th.     

Current Events: EVEN will present this week. Try to find a positive and uplifting story. Students will need to complete a summary and opinion paper, written in complete sentences. 

English: Unit 7 Adverbs and Prepositions

Math:
Chapter 17 Test on Monday. Begin Chapter 18 on Wednesday

Geography:Report due May 31st 

Social Studies:Chapter 7 Causes of the Revolution and Early Conflicts with Britain. Colonial Craftsman project
due Thursday, May 24th.

Science:Chapter 7, Our Solar System
