Rock Unit
First grade will expand, explore, and investgate various characteristics about rocks.
Activities:
-Seperarate particles in soil
-Observe sand
-Weathering/erosion-(comparing small rocks, gravel, sand, silt,
and clay)
-Grow crystals
-Make fossil imprints
-Make an edible cake showing the different layers of rock
-Make rock candy
-Make pet rocks
-Rock journal
