Dear Parents,
Welcome to first grade! I’m looking forward to an exciting year of new
experiences to share with your child.
School begins at 8:00am and ends at 4:00pm. The playground is supervised
starting at 7:45am. Elementary students are to stay on the playground until
the bell rings at 7:55am. If the weather is bad, a green piece of paper
will be in the window of the recess doors as a signal that all children
should come inside. They will have indoor recess in the gym. Students will
go outside if the temperature is at least 20 degrees. Please dress your
child appropriately for the weather. If you need to pick your child up
early from school, be sure to check him/her out at the office first.
In the afternoon, first graders have music and p.e. everyday. They will
alternate weekly with Art and Tech Lab, and Media Center.
