Introduction

Every four years, the Olympic Winter Games are held in a designated city from 
a variety of countries.  Athletes from around the world participate in various 
sporting events.  This year, 2002, the Olympic Winter Games will be held in 
Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.  From the early Winter Games to those most recently 
held, some ideas never change: "The Olympic Games unite the world through a 
celebration of peaceful competition and personal achievement."
