After spending several years in the classroom I am grateful to be finishing my
teaching career as our elementary physical education teacher. I have enjoyed
my move to the gym and the opportunity to teach physical education to the
kids. Teamwork and sportsmanship are important to my philosphy which provides
each student the opportunity to succeed at their own level.
It is my greatest hope that our students leave East with an appreciation for
physical fitness and physical well-being. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of
our talented East staff. My wife Julie teaches third grade at East. Also,
both of our children (Emily and Andy) attended East Elementary during their
early years in the Moffat County School District.
We will strive to improve the physical abilities and social skills with all of
our students in physical education. Each child will be given an opportunity
to participate in a safe environment in order to show growth as well as
success at their appropriate level. Additionally, we will promote respect and
kindness for others as we build confidence learners and strengthen
self-esteem. Areas of goal setting, positive feedback, teamwork,
sportsmanship, and cooperative skills through helping others will be
encouraged throughout the year.
