How do I help my 8th grader with his/her Algebra Homework?

Be sure they take great notes in class.  I break down every step in pieces 
and explain during instructional time.

I don't understand their notes. Now what?

Most worksheets I assign have the objectives on the bottom.  This will 
enable parents/guardians/students to do a web search, or use my links to 
assist.

Are there any other resources for my 8th grader?

I have allowed students to check out Pre-Algebra books.  Also, the book 
entitled "Algebra To Go" should be of help.  They are around $24 in 
bookstores.
  I have web sites listed that would be great practice as well.

Do you offer tutoring?

Yes, Monday, and Tuesdays I tutor 30 minutes after school by appointment.
