Niwot Swashbucklers is a club dedicated to exploring the world of
stage combat. Students will learn how to present SAFE performances of
fights from literature while increasing their physical conditioning, self-
confidence, cooperative skills, and love of literature.
Now that Shakespeare Club has merged with Swashbucklers, we also present a
Shakespeare play each spring. This year we are doing TWELFTH NIGHT.
This is NOT real fighting, it's a dance of close partnership that only
LOOKS like a fight, in order to serve the needs of the characters and
story. We are NOT promoting violence (just as a Tae Kwon Do class does not).
Parents and teachers are ALWAYS welcome to drop in and see what the
Swashbucklers are doing. Meetings are the normally once a month.
