A Note From Mrs. Carlile for the 2009-2010 school year - Email : mlcarlile@msn.com

I am super excited about the great music our students will present this
year. Between Eagles' Wings Choir, M/S Choral Arts Class, our H/S Ladies
Ensemble, and the talented group of students in grades K-5, it's going to be
a year to remember.

Parents, want to know more about what's going on in your child's music
class? Feel free to contact me if you'd like to sit in on a music class or
talk about your student's progress.

Can you imagine a world without music? Can you imagine a movie without a
soundtrack? A worship service with no music? How about a silent video game
or a parade with no marching band?
How does 'talk' radio grab you?
Music touches a part of us that nothing else can reach. When you hear a
beautiful piece of music and the hair on the back of your neck stands up or
you get 'goosebumps', that's no coincidence! That's your brain saying, "Wow.
I really enjoyed that!" Music stimulates the mind. Music helps us understand
and express our moods and attitudes.
You become a better all-around student when you learn to sing or play an
instrument.
With music, you don't just learn music, you learn many things like self-
discipline, working with others, and how to listen. And so much more!
And then there is the joy we feel simply from listening to all kinds of
music. What rocks your boat?
I am in my 15th year of teaching music at PPCS and I continue to look
forward to every day.
PPCS is a great place to be!
"Music is one of the things, like the ability to laugh, that has kept us
going for all these years. It keeps us sane." Charles Schultz

We're not just learning music, we're loving it!
