Mrs. Knapp's Homeroom January 4th - January 8th This week we are beginning our study of Ecology. We will be studying concepts such as organisms, environments, survival, and interdependence. Students are generating two-column notes in class. These can be found on my website under "Science Documents" December 14th - December18th This week we will finish our study of Muscles and Bones. We will learn more about the Ribs, Shoulders, Arms and Legs. Students will create a paper model of the skeletal system. Students will be tested on this information on Thursday, December 17th. They are generating a Muscles and Bones packet in class to use as a study guide. December 7th - December 11th Ms. Nelson's Homeroom: This week we are beginning a 2-week study about Muscles and Bones. November 23rd - November 24th During this short week we will continue our study of bones. We will focus on the skull, the backbone, and joints. Students will engage in several hands-on science stations. REMINDER: Students will have an assessment covering the parts of the ear and their functions on Wednesday, 11/11. They have two-column notes and a diagram to use as a study guide. We have reviewed extensively in class, as well. Model Projects are due THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12th. Rough Drafts have been edited and returned to students. Their final copy is due FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13th. We will review extensively in class, and students will use 2-column notes and a diagram generated during our last unit as study guides. Then, we will continue to explore the properties of Light. Students will participate in several hands-on science stations, and fill out two-column notes. MODEL PROJECTS are due Wednesday, November 11th. Students will be creating a model of EITHER the eye, ear or brain and writing a paragraph describing the parts and functions of their model. DUE TO THE DISRUPTED SCHEDULE, BOTH THE MODEL AND THE PARAGRAPHS will need to be created AT HOME.
