About The Teacher
Hola- My name is Senorita Meaghan Burke and I am a native to Colorado. In fact I graduated from Douglas County High School. From there I attended the University of San Diego in San Diego California. While studying I had plenty of time to work and volunteer in Tiajuana Mexico. Many of the volunteer trips we took involved working with nursing homes, ophanages, and migrant houses. While working with these many people and diffirent Hispanic cultures my love of Spanish and volunteering continued to grow. After Graduating from the University of San Diego in 2002 I went to Newark New Jersey and spent two years working in the inner city school of Saint Lucy's. While there I lived in a converted Polish convent and taught with all Sisters of Saint John the Baptist. This experience and what I gained from students was incredible. In fact this past summer of 2008 I went to visit my first class to commend them on their graduation. I am happy to be returning to PRA for my second year!
