White Day
Students: Seeking String Musicians! The Steamboat Springs Orchestra is
offering a program for the intermediate to advanced level string player. The
ensemble of community members will rehearse on Monday evenings beginning
January 11th at 6:30 p.m. It is a seven week program and includes a final
performance. You must be at least 15 years old. For more information please

The following boys basketball players will
be leaving for Battle Mountain TODAY, January 8th at 12:30 p.m.: Justin
Anderson, Hondo Anderson, Kit Croop, Ben Custer, Bobby Davis, Justin Ditter,
Connor Landusky, Daniel Melvin, Isiah Mendoza-Forsyth, Jake Miller, Carlos
Miranda, Randall Nelson, Kyle Rogers, Jack Spady, Eric Trousil, Charles Wood

The following wrestlers will be out of school TODAY, January 8th to
attend a tournament in Vernal, Utah: Kaya Baumgartner, Martin Fairlie,
Aaron Higgins, Dane Koepfer, Grant Mader, Austin Rae, Joshua Reynolds, Austin

Juniors: It is time to plan Prom and Snowcoming. We will be meeting every
Monday during lunch in EM211 (Branson). All juniors are welcome. Due to
M.L. King Jr. Day, we will have our first meeting of the semester on Tuesday,
1/19. See you there!

Boulder, your completed application is due January 15, 2010.
National Honor Society Community Service Hours are due to Mrs. Gay by
3:45 p.m. Friday, January 8th. Extra forms are available on the wiki.
Seniors: We are in the process of putting together the Class of 2010
video yearbook. If anyone has any videos from the past four years made in
video production, or on your own that you would like to be put on the video,
please bring it on a DVD, or VHS to Hannah Ramirez, Mr. Hensen, or Mr. Moos.

You must sign up in the College and Career Center if you plan on
taking the ASVAB military entrance exam on January 26th. This is open to
any junior or senior who might be considering a career in the armed forces.
Congratulations to Jeffrey Gay for being selected as the YVEA
representative that will be sent to Washington DC for a week to represent
Routt County. We are proud of you!
Students: Semester finals are next week! There will be food served at
the cafeteria during break, but there will not be lunch service. Buses arrive
and depart at the normal school schedule and teachers are available in the
afternoons. You can also study quietly in the library. Following is the
finals week schedule for first semester:

Students are encouraged to make an appointment with their counselor in advance

Students: Are you interested in the development of our community and
county? Do you enjoy having a say in matters that impact the future of our
valley? The Routt County Planning Commission is seeking input from a student
who may be interested in participating on the County Planning Commission.
Anyone interested in this service, please see Mrs. Campbell in the office by
this Friday, January 8th.

January SAT Late Registration Deadline has been extended! The
January SAT late registration deadline has been extended to 11:59 p.m.
(Eastern Time), Friday, January 8, 2010 for online and phone registrations.
December SAT Score Reports are online! Online SAT Score Reports
are now available for the December SAT and SAT Subject tests. If you took the
SAT, you can view and print a copy of your essay as you wrote it.
Juniors! Second semester is the perfect time to take the SAT.
Register at www.collegeboard.com . If you need extended time, please come
see Mrs. Moss ASAP!
