About The Teacher

I grew up in Steamboat Springs and graduated from SSHS.  I went to the 
University of Colorado in Boulder and received a degree in Molecular 
Biology and Biochemistry.  I got my masters degree at C.U. in Instruction 
and Curriculum and also received a teaching certificate in 1998.  After 
teaching for 3 years in Denver high schools, I decided to move home to 
the place I love.  I cross-country ski, mountain bike, and play outdoors as 
much as possible.

Mission For The Class

To help students build confidence in their abilitiy to do mathematics and to 
think scientifically.  I want my students to understand the world around 
them and to question and investigate that which they don't understand.  I 
hope to encourage all my students to be life-long learners, critical 
thinkers, problem solvers and global citizens.  In science class, my 
students are to learn through inquiry and experience.
