The 75 new vocabulary words and definitions, which have been assigned
for over 4 weeks, are due May 15. A Literacy rough draft is due Friday, May
16, on someone older who students respect or on the final chapter of HOLES.
The typed final will be due on Wednesday, the 21st. Since the play has
drained several of our kids, we will celebrate this Friday by showing the
movie HOLES. The Cultural Fiction book should be finished on Tuesday, the
20th. Students have all been informed of these due dates, and they (should)
have them in their planners. The Paper Bag Project presentations will be on
the 27, 28, and the 29th.
We are planning a field trip to the library on the 23rd, and our annual
Stagecoach trip is scheduled for June 4, for those of you who like to plan
ahead. Parent volunteers will be needed to drive the pontoon boats that day,
so please call me at 871-3542, if that sounds like something you'd like to
do. An hour or two shift would be great-more info later. There will also be
some smaller one or two day assignments in Geography and LIteracy, but these
are always started in class first.
